Why book a coffee cart for a graduation party?
Graduation parties have a problem: guests trickle in over hours, energy dips, and standard catering feels generic. A coffee cart fixes all three. It's a focal point that keeps people lingering, an Instagram moment that makes your party the one everyone talks about, and a hospitality upgrade that says 'this milestone matters.' Plus the graduate gets a custom drink named after them, which is the kind of detail people remember.
How much does a graduation party coffee cart cost?
Graduation party packages start at $750 for a 2-hour service window with one barista (great for parties of 30-60 guests). Most graduation open houses book 3 hours in the $900-$1,200 range. Larger parties (100+ guests) or extended service runs $1,200-$1,800. Custom branding adds $100-$400. We'll quote your specific party.
Can you customize the menu for the graduate?
Yes — and it's our favorite part. We design a custom signature drink named for the graduate ('The Riley Latte,' 'Captain Carter's Cold Brew,' 'The Future Doctor Mocha'), put it on a custom menu board, and feature it as the must-try drink of the day. We can also print the graduate's photo, school logo, class year, or signature on the latte foam itself.
Can you set up in a backyard or driveway?
Absolutely. Most of our graduation parties happen in driveways, backyards, garages, or front lawns. We need a flat surface, an outlet within 50 feet (or we bring a generator), and reasonable shelter from heavy rain. We've set up under tents, awnings, garage overhangs — wherever works for your party.
What if some of the graduates' friends don't drink coffee?
Our menu always includes hot chocolate, chai lattes, matcha, vanilla steamers, Italian sodas, and seasonal options. For a graduation party with younger siblings and non-coffee-drinking friends, we lean the menu toward hot chocolate, iced matcha, and flavored drinks the whole guest list will love.
How far in advance should we book?
Graduation season (April-June) is one of our busiest periods. Book 6-8 weeks ahead to lock in your date, especially for Saturday afternoon time slots which book first. If you want custom branding (cups, signature drink with the grad's photo), 6 weeks is the minimum lead time.
Do you serve indoor venues for grad parties?
Yes. We set up in restaurants, country clubs, banquet halls, church fellowship halls, and private dining rooms regularly. We just need access to an electrical outlet and clearance to roll the cart in (most venues have door access that works fine).
Can the coffee cart be the main 'wow' moment of the party?
That's exactly how most clients use it. Set up the cart as the centerpiece, design the menu around the graduate, and let guests gather there as the natural anchor of the party. The cart photographs beautifully, conversations happen around it, and the graduate's friends will be talking about 'the latte with my face on it' for weeks.
